Sparkle Bachelorette Party

I get to be Matron of Honor!! That means...I get to plan the bachelorette party!! Not exactly the first thing I thought but it was pretty high up there. My sister is one of my best friends.  I love my sister and I also love marriage and HOORAY we get to celebrate both of them in one weekend!

One of the hardest things for me was choosing a theme.  Lindsey is so versatile and loves lots of things which lends to a LOT of options.  Last summer, when I did her birthday party, I asked people what their favorite thing about her was. A lot of people said things like "She lights up the room" or "Her sparkle."  So while browsing pinterest, I came across a sparkle theme party and it just fit Lindsey's Bachelorette Party like a glove!

Invitation

I designed both sides of the invitation using Adobe Illustrator.  The quote "She leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes" was my inspiration for everything to follow and felt it deserved a prominent place on the invitation.

I wanted everyone to know each step because I knew people would be able to come at different times.  Thank you Michaels for the glittery envelopes. I used glitter washi tape to add sparkle to the back.

For address labels I printed a sheet with the receiving addresses in left column and the return address on the right column and then cut them and folded them around the right side of the envelope.

Decor

There is no limit to the amount of things you can put glitter on. My poor husband, even weeks after the shower, is finding glitter and sequins everywhere.  After setting everything up I told him our apartment looked like a glitter monster inhabitance.

I used my cricut to make a banner with sparkle paper.
I got gold sparkly fabric to cover some different areas in my apartment or use as table runners.

I printed sparkle quotes and glittered dollar store frames using mod podge.

I glittered wine bottles and got gold and silver Hershey Nuggets.  At Christmas time I had bought these red glittery sticks to add to flowers. They worked well here to add even more!

In my entry way, I framed the invitation, added some rhinestone ribbon (from the $1 section at Michaels) to votive candle holders, put sequins on the ledge and lights around the mirror.

I glittered candle holders and used glitter ribbon on everything!
Placing glitter paper under things also adds a lot.

Activity Table

I had a station for the girls to sparkle themselves. Ring pops, tiaras, and glitter nail polish.

I had a station with a frame for the ladies to put on lipstick and leave "kisses for the mrs"

I also designed a madlibs style card for the girls to fill out.  It was really fun to read all the notes they wrote to her. I hole punched the top and put it around a ring.

I put sparkle paper inside mason jars and rhinestones around vases.

Before leaving for the evening, we had a champagne toast. I put rhinestone ribbon around all the wine glasses. I put glitter tape around the candle and had gold and silver Hershey's around.

Lessons

I decorated the car and we went to our next location and had a blast!  Actually quite a crazy workout!

I put sequins on a play veil to sparkle it up!

I used modpodge and glitter to make sparkle sunglasses for the bride!

Dinner

We went to downtown Long Beach for tapas.

Isn't she beautiful?!

All these girls came to love on Lindsey and celebrate her upcoming wedding.

Lindsey loves her cars!

 Scavenger Hunt

After Party

We went back to our apartment after for desserts, drinks, and gifts.  I used glitter paper to make signs.

I found glitter sprinkles to put on top of the brownies.

At my bachelorette party, my great-grandmother had given me her wedding night lingerie (with a note that said "don't worry it didn't get worn long") so I passed it along as a family heirloom. Hehe!

I used glitter stickers to keep track of the gifts

Favors

I got two piece cups and glittered the inside. These were one of my highlights.  I also made glitter name tags to keep track them.

Brunch

Some of the girls stayed the night and we had breakfast and mimosas.

Lindsey wore her Mrs. Campbell shirt I made for her.

What a great weekend celebrating my little sister. It was such a joy to shower her with love. I hope some of these ideas help you show love to someone!
