Sandlot Theme Birthday

I love this girl so much! We have been friends since moving into the door my freshman year at Biola.  That is 10 years!  We have been through so many life stages together and I was so excited to love on Kellee for her 30th birthday. (She doesn't look it...I know!)

We asked her what she wanted and she said to watch Sandlot in the backyard and play corn hole.
Here is what we came up with!

We had an instagram hashtag sign.

We had a frame with all of the characters and people made themselves name tags for which character they would be.

Snack Bar

We had lots of food with a baseball theme including pretzels, cotton candy, popcorn, nachos, licorice, cracker jacks and of course peanuts.

I made pennant and baseball banners for all the tables.

Licorice flag: For-ev-er, for-ev-er

Peanut flag: "You're killing me smalls"

Photo booth

We had lots of props for people to take their own pictures.
Baseballs, mitts, hats, and faces of the Sandlot characters.

Corn Hole

We all paired up and had a corn hole tournament.

Dinner

After a labor intensive game of corn hole :) Mike bbq'd some hamburgers and hot dogs.

My favorite flags:
L7 Weenies and Great Bambino Burgers

 S'mores

For dessert we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores (just like in the movie).
I framed the quote as to how to make the s'mores from Sandlot.

We had a few different types of marshmallows and candies.

We also put candles in the marshmallows since we didn't have cake or anything.

Everyone signed the softball so she can always remember her special night. I had fun making these frames with cute baseball fonts.
"You play ball like a giirrrlll."

We then enjoyed the rest of the perfect summer night watching such a great classic under the twinkle lights that Mike spent so much time putting up!

So thankful so many people came out to celebrate and love on my dear friend!

Also extremely thankful for these two in making it all happen, since I had two other events that weekend.  It was an honor to be a part of the love-on-kellee team.

I hope this helps you in creatively loving on someone in your life.
