Robot Graduation Party: Part 2

Dessert Table Details

I don't think I said this in the last post but I'm sure you figured it out.  My colors were green and yellow, which are Cal Poly Pomona colors.  I had so much fun designing the dessert table with all the little details and labels.  For the backdrop, I borrowed thrifted shutters and used ribbon to hang different sized black frames.  I used the Robot Party Cricut cartridge to cut out the two robots and the BEEPBOOP sign.  I put up a picture of Nate's senior project team and a picture of him with his lab robot.  I also framed Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" and Proverbs 9:11 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."  God has been so faithful to us through this journey.  He gave strength and endurance and deserves all glory.

Each of the food items I gave a "robot" name.  The labels were made using the Robot Party Cricut cartridge.

Trail Mix = Nuts & Bolts
(homemade dried apples and toffee pieces, pretzels sticks, kettle corn and honey roasted peanuts)
 I used the Robot Party Cricut cartridge to cut cupcake holders that looked like hex-nuts to put inside the clear cups.

Robot head cake pops = Ball bearings

My wonderful mom made these. They were a big hit! Half were funfetti and half were chocolate.  She used lifesavers, candy necklaces, sour belts, and sugar dots.  The little wires on the top were some sort of rice noodle. Beware...if they get hot, they will melt and slide off the stick!

Licorice Straws = Cable Wires

Grandma's homemade cookies and Oreos = Micro Chips

I cut what felt like a billion little 1 inch gears and robot heads to use as confetti.  To prevent them from flying away my fabulous in-laws rolled up tiny pieces of tape for each one.

Drink Table Details

Refueling station sign was made with the Robot Party Cricut cartridge and put in a frame to keep it from getting wet or blown over.

I put yellow and green straws in a green pail.  I made labels that looked like coding symbols for people to put their names on.  Nate really liked these.

Lemonade = Machine Oil
Lime infused water = Liquid hydrogen

Thank you for celebrating his graduation with me!  I REALLY enjoyed brainstorming ways to show him love!
